School Bus Reminders

As we step into second quarter, and with fall break behind us, we want to remind you of important bus transportation guidelines.

Please note that pick-up and drop-off times are approximate. Ensure your student is (visible to the driver) at the bus stop / at least five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time, and please arrive five minutes before the drop-off time in the afternoon. Various factors, including weather, traffic, the number of students on the bus, and delays, can affect arrival times.

To ensure the safety of our youngest students, kindergarten through second grade must have a parent, guardian, older sibling, or an approved person present at their bus stop for drop-off. If no one is there, your child will be brought to the bus garage, and you'll need to arrange pick-up.

We discourage inconsistent bus schedules, such as switching buses on alternating days or weeks. If you do have an alternative schedule, please be sure to notify the teacher, as they are responsible to make sure your student is placed on the correct bus. Please be sure to give the teacher ample time to plan ahead. We have a limit of two stops per student as this can cause confusion and result in students being placed on the wrong route. Bus Passes will only be issued for emergencies, and students are required to ride their assigned bus.

We appreciate your attention to these important details and your cooperation in making this a successful second quarter, for (y)our Hawks. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the bus garage at (636) 789-0081 or via email at brooks_jim@hsdr3.org

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping our students safe.

Sincerely,

Jim Brooks
